The comfort of a café, the freedom of a studio.
A relaxed, creative and family feel, at 82 rue Lamarck. The comfort of a café, the freedom of a studio: somewhere to put your phone down, pick up a brush, and breathe.

Who's « we »?
A family affair.
A sculptor mum, a potter dad and brother — who even opened his own ceramics café in Bordeaux. We grew up in the family studios, where we saw the same thing every time: people come to learn, sure, but above all to feel proud of themselves and have a good time. Artichaut is what we wanted to open up to everyone, on rue Lamarck.
We'll be waiting to create with you.
And the coffee's good.
Really good. Speciality coffee roasted in Belleville, homemade drinks hot and cold, and always something to nibble: sweet, savoury, a toastie for comfort. You can come just for that, without making a thing.
Questions we get asked
Do I need to book? And to know how to draw?+
Neither. Booking is recommended to be sure of a table, but you can drop in like at a restaurant. And all levels are welcome: we're here to guide you.
How much is it?+
Sessions start at €25 depending on the craft, all materials included. Embroidery and mosaic vary with the surface you pick. Coffee and treats are extra.
Can I just come for a coffee?+
Of course. We're a real café: settle in, work, chat, without making anything at all. We just hope the place inspires you, one way or another.
I'd like to host an event here.+
Great! Get in touch via our private-events form. We'll be happy to help make your event a success (up to 20 people, from €35/person, reply within 24h).
Are children welcome?+
Of course! Everyone is welcome at Artichaut. We also regularly run sessions and activities specially for children; get in touch for more info.
